Michael Carpenter

Michael Wayne Carpenter, 57, of Gastonia, passed away on July 25, 2015 at home. He was born on May 9, 1958 in Gaston County, to the late Andy Lee and Jolene Carpenter Honeycutt.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his daughters, Misty Elaine Carpenter, Jennifer Nicole Selph, and Leslie Michelle Wyke; grandson, Joshua Lee Selph; sister, Tammy Elaine Carpenter; maternal grandparents, John Paul Carpenter Sr. and Inez "Polly" Brown Carpenter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Bobbie; daughter, Sonya Holt of Gastonia; son, Jeffrey Selph of Gastonia; brother, Doug Carpenter and wife Teresa of Bessemer City; sister, Frona Dockery and husband Tim of Dallas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.

Michael's funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Keith Carson officiating.

Interment will follow in Westview Gardens Cemetery.
