Mildred Cadenhead

Mildred Thrift Cadenhead, 81, of Kings Mountain, passed away on August 19, 2014 at home. She was born on September 12, 1932 in Cherokee County, to the late Jerry "Pit" Pitman and Louella J. Godfrey Thrift.

Mildred loved being surrounded by her family, cooking and serving her Lord. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cherryville. Mildred enjoyed reminiscing with her family about the past..

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Luther Cadenhead; infant sister, Bonnie Thrift sisters, Evelyn Ellis, Brenda Sue Friday; brother, Ray Thrift.

She is survived by her sons, Steve Cadenhead and wife Patsy of York, SC, David Cadenhead and wife Alisa of Virginia Beach, Va.,; daughter, Linda Loftin and husband Charles of Kings Mountain; brother, Billy Wayne Thrift; grandchildren, Charles "Chuck" Loftin, Jr., Jeff Loftin, Nathaniel Byrd, Shelly Cadenhead, Chad Cadenhead, Brian Cadenhead, Taammi Cadenhead, Katie Cadenhead; great-grandchilden, Cameron Loftin, Summer Cadenhead.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Rev. Tim Spencer officiating.

Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.

Her family will receive friends Friday from 1:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home.
