MILDRED WADDELL



Mildred Gladden Waddell, 90, formerly of Bessemer City, passed away at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia on December 22, 2012.  She was born April 9, 1922 in Gaston County to the late Walter A. and Minnie Reynolds Gladden.



Mildred was retired from Wix.



She is survived by her son Danny Waddell and wife Kay of Gastonia; daughter, Barbara W. Carver of Stanley; sister Irene Gladden of Lincolnton; daughter-in-law Janice Waddell of Bessemer City; 14 grandchildren, 37great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchild.



She is preceded in death by son Bill Waddell; brother Gettis Gladden; sister Annie Mae Pickelsimer.



Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City with the Rev. J. Darren Duncan officiating.



Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.



The family will receive friend's Monday, 1:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home.
