Myron Jones

Myron Wesley Jones, 80, of Bessemer City passed away on September 29, 2013 at Gastonia Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 23, 1933 in West Edmeston, NY, to the late Roy Bowden and Lois Elenor Kingsley Jones.

Myron attended NBCS. He was a dairy farmer and served with the United States Army in the Korean Conflict. The family would like to thank the staff at Gastonia Health Care and Rehabilitation Center for their care.

He is survived by his son, Clifford Jones and wife Sallie of Bessemer City; daughter, Robin Jones of Endicott, NY; brother, Clifford Jones and wife Judy of New Berlin, NY; sisters, Victoria O'Brien and husband James of Lexington KY, Luella Elder of Glensfalls, NY, Constance "Marie" Hoyt and husband Arleigh of New Berlin, NY, Janette Gould of South New Berlin, NY, Julia Curtis of Earlville, NY, Joy Beechins of Edmeston, NY; granddaughter, Rebecca Jones of Blacksburg, SC, great-granddaughter, Cassidy Jones; 3 step grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Angell Jones; brother, Anthony Jones; sister, Erma Paddock.

His funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.

His family will receive friends from 6:00 to7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at St. Andrews Cemetery, New Berlin, NY.
