Myrtle Breakfield

Myrtle Lynch Breakfield, 85, passed away on Friday November 2, 2018, at home. She was born July 28, 1933, in Gaston County, to the late Doc Luther and Loretta Lynch.

Myrtle was a member of New Life Baptist Church of Bessemer City.

Survivors include her sons, Zane Breakfield, Scott Breakfield, and John Breakfield Jr. daughters, Linda Haney, Frances King, and Betty Jane Dawson; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years John "JT" Thomas Breakfield son, Mark Breakfield; stepdaughter Dottie Swift; brothers Leonard and John Howard Lynch.

Myrtle's family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at New Life Baptist Church, Bessemer City.

Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at New Life Baptist Church with Dr. Gene Ware officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery
