Nola Elizabeth Sarvis

Nola Elizabeth Kyles Sarvis, 92, of Gastonia, NC, passed away at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain, NC on June 13, 2024. She was born on March 13, 1932, in Rowan County, NC to the late Pinkney Sylvester Kyles and Mary Elizabeth Thompson Kyles. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Sarvis.

Nola was a remarkable caring and loving lady. She graduated from Cleveland High School as class valedictorian and went on to become a registered nurse at Charlotte Memorial Hospital. She worked at area hospitals as an RN for more than 40 years. She was member of Chapel Grove Church of God for many years. Nola loved gardening, fishing, having yard sales and going on cruises. She loved the Lord and loved serving others. She will be greatly missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her. The family would like to thank the caregivers at White Oak Manor for Nola's care. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, John Jones (Tammy) and Charles Jones (Rita); grandchildren, Joey Davis (Miranda), Justin Croft, Cathy Lewis (Robbie), Charles Jones II “CJ” (Amber), and Bill Jones: great-grandchildren, Katie Davis and Jaden Croft, Mariah Johnson, Marissa Jones, and Caylin Jones. 

Nola’s funeral service will be held at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home in Bessemer City at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, with Pastor Michael Coe officiating. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM before the funeral. 

Entombment will follow at Westview Gardens Mausoleum, in Bessemer City, NC.
