Ollie "Grace" Dailey Smith, 96, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Belaire Health Care Center of Gastonia. She was born October 17, 1919 in Athens Georgia to the late T. D. and Cora Hembree Dailey.

Ollie retired from Firestone Textiles and was a member of Firestone Wesleyan Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Smith; her great-grandson, Donald Royce "Rocky" Davidson; her sisters, Montine Smallwood, Estelle McCune, Lucille Cowart, and Lille Streetman; her brothers, Dillard Dailey, Jesse Dailey, and Ed Dailey; her sons-in-law, Royce Davidson and Mickey Willis.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Joyce Davidson of Dallas, Linda Willis of Shelby, Nancy Peeler (Danny) of Gastonia and Betty Kelso (Carl) of Gastonia; her son, the Rev. Thomas Smith (Melba) of Hendersonville; her sister, Thelma Hardy of Gastonia; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 pm Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, Bessemer City.

Burial will be private.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers of Belaire Healthcare of Gastonia.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made either Belaire Healthcare 2065 Lyon Street Gastonia, NC 28052 or Hospice of Gaston County 258 E. Garrison Blvd. Gastonia, NC 28054.
