Padgett Blake

Padgett Laverne "Pat" Blake, Sr., 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 5, 1937 in Georgetown, SC, son of the late Tom and Rubie Thomas Blake.

Pat was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Patsy Williams Blake; Children, LaVere Williams and husband Mike of Akron, Ohio; Padgett "Laverne" Blake, Jr. and wife Lynn of Lincolnton; Grandchildren, Trisha Connell and husband Tim of Akron, Ohio; Luke Hovis and wife Courtney of Cherryville, Brett Williams and wife Mandy of Kings Mountain, Padgett Laverne "Trey" Blake III and wife Emily of Cherryville, Travis Blake and wife Natalie of Bessemer City; Tori Blake of Lincolnton; Great-Grandchildren; Anslee and Addison Connell, Isaac, Lydia, Amelia, and Elias Williams, Graycen Skidmore, Ella and Emma Blake, and Journey Hovis; sister-in-law Mary Ann Hubbs and husband Clinton of Grove Hill, Al.; and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; Tom and Rubie Blake, Siblings; Thomas Jr., Frank, Ralph, and Mary Blake and Delane Wilkes; Infant son Joseph Blake; and Great-Grandson Abram Connell.

A Celebration of Pat's life, will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services of Bessemer City with Pastor Frank Thompson and Pastor Jon Mann officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

His family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
