PAULINE COLE

Pauline Marshall Cole, 78, of Gastonia, passed away May 28, 2013, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born on October 26, 1934 in Cleveland County to the late Guy and Ara Blalock Marshall.

Pauline was a teacher's aide for Gaston County Schools for many years. She was a gentle, kind spirit who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Pauline enjoyed crafts, square dancing and water exercises at the YMCA. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Pauline enjoyed life and her family. She was a long time member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Bessemer City.

Pauline is survived by her son, Kenneth Ray Cole, Jr. and wife Kathy of Bessemer City; daughters, Cynthia Dawn Cole of Gastonia, Melissa Cole Oakley and husband Steve of Clover; sisters, Faye Spencer of Bessemer City , Betty Austin of Gastonia, Brenda Roberts of Bessemer City; grandchildren, Jason Oakley, Jeremy Oakley, Tara Cole.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Ray Cole, Sr., brothers, Hoey Marshall, Bobby Marshall.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:00 PM at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Bessemer City, with Father Ramon Aymerich officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens.

Family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Thursday at the church.
