Pauline Fletcher

Pauline Carroll Fletcher, 91, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Saturday April 4, 2015 at home. She was born in Cleveland County, on January 5, 1924 to the late James Turner and Janie Smith Carroll.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, William Johnny Fletcher; daughter Judith Elaine Fletcher, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed cooking for her family and having them come for a visit. She loved all of her family dearly, but most of all she loved the Lord. Pauline also enjoyed fishing, listening to gospel music and reading her Bible while sitting on the porch.

She is survived by her children; Joyce Davis, Gerald Fletcher and wife Priscilla, Carolyn Grindell and husband Royd all of Kings Mountain, Logan Fletcher and wife Debi of Gastonia, & Steve Fletcher and wife Edna of Kings Mountain; her sister Gail Ware of Cramerton; 26 grandchildren, Billie Hovis and husband Terry, Ray Hope and wife Patricia, Susie Bridges and husband Jeff, Janet Brafford and partner Tim, Brent Fletcher, Sherry Hobby and husband Scott, Rodney Fletcher, Brad Fletcher and wife Lacey, Shayne Richardson, Steven Richardson and wife Kristian, Bobby Grindell and wife Wendy, Kevin Grindell and wife Larryn, Winona ianLatona and husband Vince, Renee Pressley, Cindy Smith and husband Gary; 28 great-great grandchildren; Sarah Hovis, Corey Hovis and partner Mendy, Heather Canipe and husband Joseph, Zachary Hope Hope, Brittany Brafford, Ashley Brafford, Janie Hobby, Amy Hobby, Charles Hobby, Chloe Fletcher, Jacob Fletcher, Elizabeth Richardson, Tommy Grindell, Josh Grindell and wife Emiley, Andrew Grindell, Nick Latona, Mary Latona, Olivia Grindell, Zachary Grindell, Katlin Grindell, Victoria Dover, Wayne Dover, Michael Carter, Tiffany Ellis, and Brandon Carter; 9 great-great-grandchildren; Abby Canipe, Hailey Canipe, Austin Canipe, Matthew Morrow, Holden Hovis, Cambri Hovis, Carson Hovis, Ayden Ellis, and Tripp Ruff.

Pauline's funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday April 7, 2015 at the 8th Street Church of God, Bessemer City, NC with the Rev. Ronnie Pendleton and the Rev. James Chambers officiating.

Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at the church.
