Pearlie Clewis

Pearlie Mae Moore Clewis, 76, of Gastonia, passed away on February 27, 2015 at home. She was born on August 4, 1938 in Burke County to the late Lucy Moore.

She loved the mountains and blue grass music.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, George Curtis Clewis, Jr.; daughters Myra Usinger and husband Alan of Salisbury, Sandra Stallings and husband Jack of Pigeon Forge, TN., and Teresa Wilson and husband Chris of Lincolnton; brother Paul Moore of Wilmington; sister Peggy Stroupe of Lincolnton; grandchildren Traci Clark, Daniel Pruitt II, Kim Carroll, and Donald Treadway; 6 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, at the chapel of Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, with Rev. Dick Whitener officiating.

Interment will follow in Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gastonia.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
