Peggy Ann Fulbius Branson, 67, of Gastonia, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born April 7, 1947 in Oak Park, Illinois, to the late Walter George Fulbius and Rita Irwin Paulson.

Peggy was presently employed by Tyco for 23 years where she was a machinist and the "Mayor of Tyco". She was loved by everyone who knew her and she will be greatly missed. Peggy was a strong woman with a servant's heart.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Queen.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Richard Branson of the home; son, Richard Branson Jr. and wife Suzanne of Luttrell Tn.; daughters Vikki Queen and husband Ronnie, Pamela Paul and husband Malcolm all of Gastonia and Wendi Branson of the home; grandchildren, Andrew Queen and fiancee Brynn Keller, Doug Branson and wife Caitlin, Nick Branson, Aaron Paul and Laura Branson; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Jaxon Queen. Peggy also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and her special friends: Kathy Honeycutt and Patrica Bond.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City, and other times at the home of Vikki and Ronnie Queen, 2565 Flintshire Lane, Gastonia, NC 28056.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 205 Regency Executive Park Dr., Suite 102, Charlotte, NC 28217, in honor of Peggy's daughter Wendi.
