Phyllis Luckey

Phyllis Baker Luckey, 89, formerly of Mt. Holly, passed away at The Addison of Lincolnton on August 28, 2021. She was born September 22, 1931, in Gaston County to the late Warren and Lois Lee Baker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Eugene Luckey; sisters Othelia Abernathy, Lillie Brown Sherrill, and Jacqueline Baker Smith; brother Jerry Baker.

Phyllis retired from Gaston County Schools. She loved working in the yard and doing arts & crafts. Phyllis was a lifelong member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Gastonia.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Tony Luckey (Carol), and daughter, Marsha McIntosh (Scott); grandson, Brandon McIntosh (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Weston and Brylynn; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Phyllis’ graveside service will be held 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Dusty Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County.
