Rebecca Spurling

Rebecca Rollins Spurling, 78 joined our Lord in Heaven on May 8th 2014 at CaroMont Regional Center. She was born June 27th 1935 to the late Isaac and Bertha Hall Rollins in Newport Tn. She was a member of Fraley Memorial Baptist Church.

She had been an avid gardener and loved to dance. She retired after 20 years of loving service at Brian Center Nursing. Taking care of people and loving on them was her gift. She went through every day with a smile and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Roy Spurling, Brothers: Roy, Jack, J.C., and Charlie Rollins, Sisters: Janie Crisp and Viola Cobb, and grandson Joshua Black.

She is survived by Eural Rollins her brother; sons Joel (Kim) Spurling, Lincolnton, Roy E. (Nelta) Spurling, Belmont, David (Sheba) Spurling, Dallas, daughters Rosie (Bill) Jory, Gastonia, Janet (Nelson) Cope, Mt Holly, Anna (Johnathan) Peppard, Lincolnton and Mary J. Spurling of Bamburg SC;

Grandchildren: Leslie (Bobby) Turner, William (Gay) Jory, Kathy Maney, Karen McFalls, Joy Spurling, Roy E. Spurling Jr., Danna (Greg) Bryant, David (Laura) Spurling, Michael (Georgia) Peeler, Shane (Alisha) Peeler, Amanda (Daniel) Allen, Randy (Erica) Bennett and Tosha Black.

Step Grandchildren: Nathaniel Dickson, Bobby (Shelly) Cope, Brady (Penny) Cope, Barry (Tracy) Cope, Michelle Smith, Keith (Kristy) Carter and Nicole Turner.

Great Grandchildren: T.J. Tanner, Matthew Turner, Wesley and Justin Jory, Zachery and Chris Bell, Joel and Alan Leopard, Holden, Isabella, Luciana Bryant, Jared, Abigal, Isaac and Addison Spurling, Madison, Elijah, Jacob and Josiah Peeler, Madeline, Logan and Ava Allen, Avery and Kenley Bennett, Joshua and Keriannah Black.

Step Great Grandchildren: Justin and Tyler Cope, Brian, Travis and John Cope, Allen and Pam Cope. Dalton, Cody, Jacob, Sara and Emma Smith.

Great-Great Grandchildren: Colby Tanner

Step Great-Great Grandchildren: Cadence and Zoey Freeland, Chloe Carter, Elizabeth and Gracie Cope.

A Celebration of Life will be at Fraley Memorial Baptist Church Saturday 10th of May 2014 at 3025 Fraley Church Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM prior to funeral at 3:00 PM and burial will be at Evergreen Park in Belmont. .
