Richard Thomas Anderson

Richard Thomas Anderson, 71, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024. He was born June 21, 1952, in Gaston County, to the late J K and Virginia Anderson.

He is preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Buddy and Laura Jean Penner; brother-in-law, Michael Alan Penner.

Richard was a member at First United Methodist of Gastonia. He was an avid golfer. He loved Carolina Basketball and the San Francisco 49er football team. He enjoyed family time at the beach.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 50 years, Carlotta Anderson; brother, James Robert Anderson; sister-in-law, Bridget Penner (Debbie); favorite niece, Shelly Toney (Matt); beloved cousin/sister, Brenda Pell (Joe); great nieces, Ryleigh and Hayden Hendrick; 4-legged friend, Jimmy.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Friday, March 8, 2024.

Richard’s Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Paul Steward officiating.

Interment will be private.
