RICHARD  PRICE



Richard Price, 88, of Kings Mountain, passed away on January 22, 2013, at Wendover Hospice in Shelby.  He was born September 5, 1924 in Cherokee County, SC, to the late Andy and Lizzie Welch Price.



Richard was a master floral designer in Spartanburg, Shelby and Gastonia.  He was most likely the oldest living florist in Cleveland County.   He was a person who lived to help others.  Thanks and appreciation go to Tom Rabon, his caregiver, for the wonderful care he provided.



He is survived by his companion, Olin F. Lanford, Sr. and nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his sister, Geneva Champion; brothers, William Price Carpenter and Raymond  Price; niece, Sandra Monroe



Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City,

with Rev. Kenny Bell and Chaplain Terry Floyd officiating.



Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain.



The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
