Robert Lee Wynn, 71, of Gastonia passed away on November 5, 2013 at home. He was born September 9, 1942 in Spartanburg County, SC, to the late Ocie and Flossie Waldrop Wynn.
Robert was a member of Myrtle United Methodist Church in Gastonia and he served in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Samuel and Jack Wynn.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Mary Chitwood Wynn; sons Jack Lail and wife Betty of Forest City, Buddy Wynn and wife Sara of Bessemer City, Robert Wynn of Gastonia; sisters Juanita Kendrick of Union, SC, Thelma Stiles of Gastonia; 7 grandchildren.
His funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Kim Higgins officiating.
Interment will follow at Westview Gardens with full military rites by the Bessemer City American Legion Honor Guard Post 243.
His family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
