Ronald Scott Francum, 57, of Gastonia, passed away on April 10, 2015 at home. He was born May 17, 1957 in Gaston County, to Homer David Francum of Murphy, NC, and the late Lona Mae Howard McCrary.
In addition to his mother, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Melton, and his sister, Brenda Melton.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Deborah Kay Francum; his son, Dwynn Greene of Lowell; his daughters, Rhonda Francum, and Amanda Todd and husband Guy, all of Dallas, NC; grandchildren, Scott Killian, Brent Parton, Kirstin Parton, Ryan Spargo, Jacqueline Green, Matthew Hamilton, Heather Hamilton, Heaven Hamilton, Jaimee Hamilton, Adam Killman; great-grandchildren, Helanea Killian, Damon Killian, Amora Wooten; brothers, Glenn Melton and wife Lois of Dallas, David Francum and wife Sandra of Georgia; sisters, Faye Parker of Dallas, Peggy Moore of Gastonia; sisters-in-law, Jerri Thompson and Ann LeMasiur both of Florida; special friends, Shirley and Don Mangino and Gary and Jo Briggs.
Ronald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He always took care of the ones he loved.
His family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45 PM Monday at Grace Baptist Church in Gastonia.
Ronald's funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday at the church with Rev. Joseph Hensley and Rev. Jonathan Tugh officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
