Ronald Wayne Rogers “Ron”, 73, of Charlotte, entered heaven on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Huntersville Health and Rehab. He was born December 12, 1950, to the late John Oris and Dora Ellen Bliss Rogers. Ron graduated from Fairmount High School and attended Marion College (now Indiana Wesleyan University).
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother John Marvin Rogers and sister Janet Rogers Collins.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 22 years Aretha Parker Rogers; son Eric Trivette (Melissa), grandchildren Jacob and Tyler; son John Trivette (Lisa), grandchild Hudson; son Jason Rogers (Larry); daughter Heather Cauthren (Barry), grandchildren Tyler, Eli, and Caleb (Taylor), great-grandchild Oliver; daughter Heidi Rogers, grandchildren Ian and Pyper; brothers Dan Rogers (Rebecca) and Charlie Rogers (Sandy); along with a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ron loved music and passed that love on to many of his family members. He had a booming baritone voice that could fill a room and is likely filling up heaven even now. Ron was often invited to sing The Star-Spangled Banner (national anthem) for area sports teams, including singing for the Charlotte Knights for more than 25 years. Ron served The Wesleyan Church in various capacities throughout his career, beginning as a youth and music minister and continuing his ministry of music throughout his lifetime. He also worked as a loyal employee delivering various products to customers throughout the Charlotte area. He enjoyed leaving his customers with not only their products but quite often with a song and always with a smile.
