Roosevelt Harris

Roosevelt B. Harris, 93, of Gastonia, passed away on Thursday June 18, 2015 at Robin Johnson House. He was born on January 27, 1923 in Murphy, NC, to the late George and Ida Clark Harris.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Harris is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Vennie Welch Harris; his daughter, Marlene Harris of Gastonia; his sons, Marshall P. Harris and wife Patsy of Dallas, NC, and Bryan Harris of Gastonia. Mr. Harris is also survived by 4 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Roosevelt was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Burlington Industries, Ranlo Plant, after 35 years of service.
