Ruth Cook

Ruth Green Cook, 94, of Kings Mountain, passed away July 25, 2015 at Brian Center in Lincolnton. She was born December 28, 1920 in Cleveland County, to the late Jay and Lula Mae Greene Green.

Ruth was retired from textiles and was a member of North Gaston Church of God, Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bynum H. Cook, daughter Jo Ann Bradley and son-in-law Fred Bradley

She was survived by her sons Pete Cook and wife Larice of Kings Mountain, Doug Cook and wife Diane of Bessemer City and Johnny Cook and wife Debbie of Bessemer City; daughter Shirley Hargett and husband Hock of High Shoals; 17 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Rev. John Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremations Services and at other times at the home of Shirley and Hock Hargett 213 School St. High Shoals, NC.

Interment will follow in the Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
