Sandra Snipes

Sandra Rabb Snipes, 62, of Bessemer City, passed into the arms of Jesus on March 22, 2013, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1950, in Gaston County, to Betty Sue Glenn Rabb of Bessemer City and the late William (Bill) Monroe Rabb. She was also preceded
in death by her brother, Dennis Rabb.

Sandra studied at Central Wesleyan College and then graduated from Sacred Heart College. She taught 32 years at First Wesleyan Christian School in Gastonia and 10 years at Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy where she was currently teaching. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Gastonia where she was Sunday school secretary and assistant Superintendent. Sandra devoted her life to teaching children in Christian-based education. She was devoted to her family and her grandchildren were her special loves.

In addition to her mother, those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 42 years, David B. Snipes; son, Benji Snipes and wife Michelle; daughter, Lori Tate and husband Jason; sister, Lynn Rabb; grandchildren, Colby Snipes, Madalyn, Emma, and Will Tate.

Funeral services will take place Monday at 11:00 AM at First Wesleyan Church, Gastonia, with Rev. Tim Smith and Rev. Matt Mitchell officiating.
Interment will follow at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.
Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services in Bessemer City and other times at the homes of Lori and Jason Tate and Benji and Michelle Snipes.
