Sarah Hughes

Sarah Jane "Janie" Cope Hughes, 57, of Gastonia passed away on October 30, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born March 15, 1956 in Gaston County, NC, to the late James Herbert and Sarah Frances Head Cope.

Sarah was a devoted member of Dallas Church of God. She loved singing, crocheting and loving sister.

She is survived by her husband James David Hughes, brother, Samuel Henry Cope of Gastonia; sisters, Jeannette Rodden and husband Vernon of Gastonia, Deborah Campbell of Cherokee, NC.

Her funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at Dallas Church of God with Revs. Danny Shortridge, Brett Davis, Andy Nicholson officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday at the church.
