Scott Dixon

Dennis Scott Dixon, 54, of Gastonia, passed away on March 16, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born May 22, 1959 in Gaston County to the late Charlie Ray and Sue Hoke Dixon.

Scott graduated from Hunter Huss High School and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Gastonia. NASCAR racing was his passion.

Scott is survived by his wife, Tammy Carpenter Dixon; step-son, Mark Jordan of Gastonia; brother, Ron Dixon and wife Gilda of Gastonia; grandchildren, Katie Beth Jordan, Lorelai Jordan; nephew, Sean Dixon and wife, Kim; niece, Anna Lindberg and husband, Daniel; great nieces, Amanda and Jennifer Dixon; Jordyn and Mya Davis.

His funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Landmark Baptist Church, Gastonia, with Rev. Forrest Hennessee officiating.

Interment will follow at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gastonia.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, before the service.
