Shirley Hamrick

Shirley Owens Hamrick, 74, of Kings Mountain, passed away on January 18, 2015 at Wendover Hospice, Shelby. She was born September 9, 1940 in Cleveland County to the late Bruin Owens and Gladys Smart Owens Blalock.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Morris Blalock, sister, Inez Yates.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gilbert Hamrick; sons, Michael Hamrick and wife Sandra of Kings Mountain, Scott Hamrick and wife Tonia of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Royce Blalock of Shelby, Clyde Owens of Alabama; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Sisk- Butler Funeral & Cremations Services, Bessemer City with Rev. James Hamrick officiating.

Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
