Steven Clay Pritchard, 71, of Dallas, passed away at CaroMont Regional on November 07, 2022. He was born May 07, 1951, in Scott County, Iowa to the late Bernard Pritchard and Mary Alice Harrell Pritchard.
He is preceded in death by brothers Lynnwood Nathaniel Sports Jr., Alva Gene Sports, Philip Marshall Sports, John Wayne Pritchard Sr.; sisters, Alice Faye Montgomery and Linda Carol Pritchard.
Steve was retired from the United States army after 22 years of service. He was a Vietnam veteran, and was very proud of his time serving.
He was the owner of Pritchards hauling. After retiring, Steve spent as much time as he could visiting Kim, their daughters and grand-babies, and with every visit he would have a bag of snacks and sweets. Everyone who knew Steve, knew of his girls and grands through his stories. He was so proud. The way he talked about each one, you would believe they hung the moon and stars.
Steve loved to cook, he appreciated good music, he loved the color blue, pocket tees, chocolate cake, sitting outside, and fresh eggs in the morning. Every time you saw Steve he was wearing a watch, usually gifted to him by his daughters, and his white tennis shoes. He loved calling just to hear about your day, and to make sure you were safe when the weather was bad. He loved watching his girls and grands grow and experience new things. He loved life, and was so full of it. He was a good man, and an even better dad and grandpa. He will be deeply missed and loved always by his family.
Left to cherish his memories are daughters, Heather Pritchard, Tracy Smith, Linda Pritchard, Stephanie Pritchard Rodriquez (Eddie), Courtney Hernandez (Rafael), (Kim Pritchard the mother of) Lauren Taylor Hill (Jason), Gabriella Carter Pritchard, Sadie Clay Pritchard; grandchildren, Paisley Mae Hill, Jason Rhett Hill, Colton Riley Hill, along with 10 grandchildren, brothers Roy Bernard Pritchard; sisters, Susan Elaine Goodhines and Alice Joye Zimmerman.
