SUSAN  BARBER



Susan Ray Heavener Barber, 65, passed away August 10, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.  She was born October 30, 1946, in Gaston County to the late Blanche Brackett  Heavener.



Susan attended Bethlehem Baptist Church.  She loved animals, camping, photography, painting, rock-hunting, electronics, and collecting recipes.  Susan was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family.



She is survived by her son, Scott Barber of Japan; daughter, Robin Masters and husband Carl of Gastonia; grandchildren, Holly, Julia and Brandon Masters; sisters-in-law, Vivian Hammee, Betty Barber.



She is preceded in death by her husband, Launce Owen Barber, Jr.



Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Dickie Spargo officiating.



Entombment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum, Belmont.



Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
