Teresa Melton

Teresa Kaye Melton, 60, of Kings Mountain, passed away July 11, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.  She was born August 17, 1951 in Cleveland County, to the late Wylie and Emma Sisk Wallace.



Teresa was a graduate of Gardner Webb University and a member of Christian Freedom Baptist Church, Kings Mountain.  She was the owner and operator of Kings Mountain Vacuum Shop of Kings Mountain. Teresa was formerly employed by DSS of Cleveland County for six years and she was the director of Kings Mountain Senior Center for nine years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society of Kings Mountain.



A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Christian Freedom Baptist Church, Kings Mountain with Rev. Mike Chambers officiating.



Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery.



Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2012 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at the church.



She is survived by her daughter, Mary Heather Melton of Kings Mountain; fiancé, Steve Sanders of Kings Mountain; James Melton of High Shoals; brother, Rick Wallace of Kings Mountain; grandson, Tommy Hall III.
