Thelma Ella Canter, 87, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord at Charlotte Health & Rehabilitation Center on February 19, 2016. She was born on March 10, 1928 in Stirrat, West Virginia, to the Preston and Myrtle May Sullins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Canter, sisters Evelyn Cook and Mildred Carver.
Thelma was a long time member of the Ranch Road Church of God, Charlotte. She served as a hard worker for many years and was known for her love, faithfulness, and kindness to all who knew her.
She is survived by a sister-in-law Mary Faith of Bristol, Tn.; 3 nieces Hope Hawkins of Lenoir, Lois Kelsie of Bluff City, Tn., and Nellie Best of Charlotte
Her graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday at Oaklawn Cemetery, Charlotte with Revs. Harold Ashe and Phillip Robinson.
