Tony Day

Tony Michael Day, 67, of Gastonia, passed away March 11, 2015 at home. He was born on November 6, 1947 in Gaston County to the late Jack Arvil and Betty Jean Ross Day.

Tony loved the Tennessee mountains and going to Dollywood.

He was survived by his son, Stanley Dean Day of Kings Mountain; daughters, Kirstie Denice Day of Kings Mountain, Amy Day Lanier and John Douglas Lanier of Gastonia, Brittany Lee Day of Gastonia; brothers, David Day of Blacksburg, Jack Day of Gastonia; grandchildren, Shirley, Julia, Olivia, Tonya, Tiffani, Tony, Trenten; great-grandchildren, Jake, Kinsley, Luke, Ethan, Camden, Tristan, Eli, Noah, Bentley, Major.

He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Anne "Boots" Day, granddaughter, Lacey Christina-Michelle Day; brothers, Ronnie Day, Bruce Day; sisters, Diane Lynn, Linda Townson.

His funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Rev. Wayne Philbeck officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 pm at the funeral home.
