Troylene Merrill

Troylene Moore Merrill, 67, of Bessemer City, passed away June 4, 2013, at Peak Resources, Gastonia. She was born on January 19, 1946 in Mecklenburg County to the late Troy Melvin Hunsucker and Paula Melton Hunsucker- Compton.

Troy was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Bessemer City. She was an avid traveler and a creative person. Troy loved her family, people, flowers and her church. She will be missed by many.

Troy is survived by her son, William "Billy" Merrill, Jr. and wife Tammie; brother, Carl Compton Jr. and wife Nancy; sisters, Carla Rollins and husband Eric, Barbara Lee and husband Robert; grandchildren, Trey Merrill, Ericka Chabot, Alyssa Mishler; great-grandchild, Mason Tyler Merrill; 2 nieces; 4 nephews .

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert "Bill" Merrill, Sr..

Memorial services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, Bessemer City with Pastor Tom Ravan officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour before the service at the Family Life Center.
