Vergie Price

Vergie Wiggins Price, 89, of Gastonia passed away on May 9, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born in Jackson County, NC, to the late Thomas and Hester Medford Wiggins.

Vergie was a wonderful Mom who loved her kids and grandchildren and who dearly loved her sister Edna who took such wonderful care of her. She loved Cracker Barrel breakfast!

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Henry F. Price of Dallas and Donald C. Price and wife Elaine of Bessemer City; her daughter, Wanda P. Johnson of Bessemer City; brother, John Wiggins of Georgia; sister, Edna Bell of Gastonia; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Crosby Price, and her sister, Ila Mills.

Her funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Rev. David Wiggins officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
