Wade Ballew

Wade Hampton Ballew, 81, of Bessemer City, passed away at home on December 7, 2021.  He was born August 15, 1940, in Pickens County, SC to the late Charles Walker and Zona Louise Stroupe Ballew.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Heffner Ballew.

Wade was a member of Eighth Street Church of God, Bessemer City. Wade enjoyed watching wrestling, baseball, and racing.

He is survived by his children, Jeff Ballew (Lena), Dale Ballew (Julie), and Dawn Ballew Ballard (Gary); sister, Glenda Capps; grandchildren, Jason, Shane, Brandon, Justin, Kristan, and Makayla Ballew, Brandon Ballard, Nathan Bell, and Barron Totherow; great-grandchildren, Cadence, Kaleigh, Hannah, and Riley Ballew, Railynn Gamble, Brody Ballard, Claire Dills, Tristan, Evan, Madison, and Payten Spencer.

Wade’s funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Eighth Street Church of God with the Rev. Ronnie Pendleton and Rev. Steve Fletcher officiating.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
