William Cook

William Raymond Cook, 78, of Gastonia, passed away October 27, 2012, at Kings Mountain Hospital.  He was born December 26, 1933 to the late Ernest William Cook and Flora Gertrude Phipps Cook.



Raymond was the former owner and operator of the Myrtle News Stand for 27 years.



He is survived by his nephews; John Boone of Gastonia, and Timothy Rowland and Lynn of Grover, Ricky Barber of Gastonia, Steve Cook of Dallas. Nieces; Sheila Lewis of Gastonia, Susan Poston of Waco, Linda Young of Taylorsville.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Reynolds Cook, sisters; Imogene Barber, Elsie Monteen, and Betty Rowland.



Memorial services will be held at 3:30 PM Wednesday at Myrtle United Methodist Church, Gastonia North Carolina with Rev. Mike Criswell and Rev. Kim Higgins officiating.
