William Henderson

William "Bill" Robert Henderson, Sr., 54, of Gastonia, passed away August 26, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Gaston County on May 10, 1959 to Barbara Ann Henderson of Gastonia.

He is preceded in death by an infant sister, Donna Tyson.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Nielsen Henderson; sons, David J. Newton and wife, Julie, William Robert Henderson, Jr. and wife, Dawn, Christopher B. Worthy, and Joshua L. Worthy and wife, Hayley; daughters, Leslie M. Jackson and husband, Travis, and Ashley M. Henderson; six grandchildren, Cameron Brewer, Austin Henderson, Nickles Henderson, Kierra Newton, Ryleigh Newton, and Celena Kirkland, all of Gastonia.

A Service of Remembrance will be held 7:00 PM Saturday at Southside Baptist Church in Gastonia with the Rev. Eric Lively and Rev. Leo Kuykendall officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Saturday at the church.
