FRANK LEWIS

W. Frank Lewis, 78, of Gastonia, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at home. He was born November 1st, 1935 in Gaston County to the late Paul and Nancy Lewis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Betty Jo Lewis.

He was a member of the Gastonia Rescue Squad for 25 years. He was also a member of the Gastonia Moose Family Center for almost 30 years.

Survivors include his daughter Kathy L. Groves of Gastonia, NC; son Darryl E. Lewis of Gastonia, NC; sister Joyce Bundy of Dallas; brother-in-law Robert "Dickie" Deal (Dixie) of Clover, SC; sister-in-law Jean D. Berkland of Concord, NC; grandchildren Alexis Lewis, Chris Groves; great-grandchildren Liam and Katie Groves; numerous nieces and nephews; his beloved pets Chico, Sassy and Rocky.

Frank's funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Saturday June 28, 2014 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services with the Rev. Barnes officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at funeral home.
