Willie Flowers

Willie "Billie" Mae Bowen Flowers, 90, of Bessemer City, passed away on March 23, 2015 at Carillon Assisted Living, Cramerton. She was born on November 8, 1924 in Cherokee County, SC to the late James Thomas and Rosa Gregory Bowen.

She was retired from Threads, USA and was a member of First Baptist Church, Bessemer City.

Willie is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Boyce Flowers, son-in-law Robby Brymer, sisters Juanita Ballew and Mabel Ratchford and brother J. T. Bowen, Jr..

Survivors include her daughters Gloria Farris and husband Corwin of Bessemer City and Rita Brymer of Dallas; grandchildren Ashley Wiggins (Mike), Bryan Farris (Jamie), and Greg Farris (Ginna); great-grandchildren Lauren Farris, Jessica Farris, Brandon Farris, Damon Wiggins, Will Farris, Justin Farris, Jackson Farris and Wynn Farris.

Her funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, at the chapel of Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, with Dr. Harold Fite officiating.

Interment will follow in Westview Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
